So it should not be so easy to rattle me, you know? I come to school to work on my dissertation while my son is in welding class for 5 hours. I figure this is a great time to get some typing done, yes?
The internet will not work for me for the first 90 minutes.
That should not be such a great big deal.
Read a book. I brought no books.
Write in your journal. I brough no journal.
The plan was to type, and I did not bother any with a Plan B.
Then the computer stops charging.
TEARS.
Literal TEARS.
Seriously?
I go off in my head about why the school is so stingy with their wifi and their electricity.
In my head, I am already firing off a mean letter of ingratitude that although they allow me to sit in an air-conditioned library while my son is his five-hour welding class outside, I am upset about not wanting to share just a little bit of power to charge my laptop.
Twenty re-starts later, the wifi begins to work again…hallelujah!
And my cord had disconnected at the base.
It’s amazing what a little effort will produce in harvest.
It’s amazing how little faith a so-called person of GREAT faith can suddenly become when the going gets tough.
It doesn’t take much.
I’m praying this website becomes a place of reflection for me. A place where I can see the areas of my life I need to address in order to have peace.
To walk toward wisdom…
